Bloody Brilliant

This is the 2nd time I've reviewed this, because for some reason my first review has disappeared... Which makes no sense. Damn I hate this site...

Anyway, I must say, this is really well done considering this is your first sprite movie. And especially since the sprites are from the early days of the 8-Bit era, I think you've done an amazing job with the choreography during each and every sequence. The music fits with the scenes like a shoe, and all are very good choices for this flash.

All in all, a great flash. But how can the next one be part of this Mario Brothers story, if one of the brothers is dead at the end?

Eh, doesn't matter. This flash still ownz.

Very good!

I don't know why this doesn't have a higher score. This was very well done. The humour is very unique with an "ain't it the truth" kind of feel that makes fun of common flash design, and the fight choreography is well done to catchy music. All in all a good flash.

Dreadfully Dull... Zzz....

I've seen some pretty crappy flash in my time, but I've never actually FALLEN ASLEEP watching one before. This series is the most boring, uninteresting and disillusioned flash series to have it's own collection. Now hold one, I didn't say it was the worst flash movie I ever saw, but you can get more excitement out of a Dilbert cartoon than this.

The problem doesn't lie in the graphics or music(although both are average at best), rather, it lies in the fact that the story is messed up. It makes absolutely no sense, offers nothing of any interest, goes nowhere, and thinks that if you add a jungle baby using a fish as a wakeboard then it will qualify as entertainment. It doesn't.

If this is some epic quest, why did they choose powerless babies to save that wierd thing in episode 1? All they do is jump around. The white baby does nothing but make really ugly faces and jump on his bed. How is THAT contributing to the circus-train-wreck of a plot this supposedly has going?

I may never understand how very few can see that this series is a very strange waste of time.

Pretty good

Not only were the fight scenes nicely choreographed, but there were plenty of fights to keep fans entertained, and the overall concept is getting more and more intruiging as the series go on. And the music was alright too.

A good amount effort was put into this. Good job.

Poor at best

Grainy, fuzzy voices, an offputting and troubling premise, involving sonic characters getting naked(and not nearly as well drawn either), and the whole movie just goes too fast. There's no humour, no point, no reason to watch.

You need to put more effort into these flashes. And learn that disgusting antics don't neccessarily equal humour.

RogerregoRRoger responds:

Yeah, the naked part was pointless, but that was only a small part of the movie. And not everything is disgusting. And there is a point and humour, just not everyone has the same taste. You`re pretty severe are you?

Pathetic

The fact that many of the reviewers believe he made that song is proof enough I am one of the few at NG who can READ!

"I found this song the other day..."

God, you think you would understand the first fucking sentence, but I guess you must have missed that because you were too anxious to drivel like this. A disgusting song which stains a classic video game character.

It's SURE to be in the collection sooner or later, against all common morality.

Great

I'm glad to see you re-submitted this for the 3rd time(3rd time's the charm, right?). Especially since the first time you did it, you accidentally submitted it twice, and in one, you took all this out and replaced it with: BLAM THIS PLEASE! and you explained how you accidentally submitted it twice.

You kept the other version as it was, because it WAS this flash. But THEN, the people of NG were so stupid, that they blammed the GOOD version, and SAVED the one you wanted deleted! They thought you were talking about the good version, or perhaps NG is just really really retarded....

My vote goes to the latter choice, but nonetheless, it's nice to see the morons here didn't blam this again, considering it actually IS a good movie.

Sorry for the story children. Just wanted to clear that up for anyone who may have noticed this flash earlier....

All I would change are the crappy "easter eggs", and you should add more backgrounds that have nothing to do with Chrono Trigger, which makes it funnier(like the Sonic The Hedgehog background). Otherwise, bravo.

ViktimStudios responds:

Correct. Thank you for explaining that to everyone. I couldnt find the words for it.

Pretty good...

Although there were a few things that didn't sit well with me.

1. The sound effects seemed to clash against the style of this flash.

2. The ending SUCKED, and was completely arbitrary.

And 3. You say the music and sound is from Arrogancy Radio or something. You have to actually credit the song and the copyrights for the characters. The characters are copyright to Sega, Nintendo, Squaresoft, and that 4th character from a game I don't know of. The song is from Sonic Adventure 2. The one where Shadow fights the big lizard in the satellite.

Other than those flaws, I did find enjoyment out of this flash.

I think I like The Clocks now...

Anyone who doesn't like The Clocks needs to watch this flash. I admit I didn't like the whole clock thing at first, this movie has changed my views on that subject.

Even though it's nearly impossible to understand what they're saying without subtitles, I did make out enough over time to understand just enough. Just enough to grasp the concept of this incredible flash movie.

The music is top-notch orchestrated work, the mood is very deep for a Clock movie, but it still had room for a bit of humour what with their mighty king being the abscent-minded strawberry that he is. His thoughts on the situation are quite humurous indeed.

But... DAMN, you have GOT to put subtitles in. As it is now, without them, it really detracts from the overall movie, because I have no idea what they say half the time, or what Pineapple Clock says at the end, after Plan B.

Nonetheless, this is an intriguing and masterfully cinematic trilogy so far, and I can only hope the last edition of The Void is anywhere near as good as this was.

This is proof to all those who hate The Clocks that not all of their movies are crap. And if they still don't believe... Well then they must be abnormally stupid.
